Wizo And Liz – One day in 2015 whilst I was having coffee with my close Jewish friend (who was the then President of WIZO – CAPE TOWN), I had a light bulb experience when I saw in my mind’s eye, a synergy between us Christians and WIZO.  Sharing this crazy thought with my friend was profound because all it took was one phone call (then and there) to her mother in Israel.  Her Mom happened to be the WIZO WORLD PRESIDENT at the time! Talk about providence and it was that day, 9 years ago, an astonishing alignment was forged.  One between us Christian and Jewish women that has become unshakable.  We walk life together.

SOUTH AFRICA WIZO

SOUTH AFRICA WIZO has five wonderful beneficiaries in Israel that we help raise funds for, touching Israeli lives at grassroots levels.  RUTH BRANCH is part of this endeavor and very humbled to be included in this 122-year-old Israeli establishment. When after tragic Christian persecution in the past, we are at long last trusted by our Jewish sisters to walk with them like a real Ruth in the Bible: (Ruth chapter 1 v 16 -17) 

Our Christian chapter is aptly called RUTH BRANCH and is the fastest growing branch, as many, many Christian women are hearing the Holy Spirit to come alongside Israel via WIZO. The love and support shown by the Christian women, to our Jewish family it has been astounding, forming an unbreakable bond as we have joined hands and hearts by DOING WHAT MATTERS…..TOGETHER  (the mission statement of WIZO) 

All because THE TIME HAS COME and God is blending His gloriously diverse family, Jew and Gentile, which Jamie and I believe is the union that will ultimately usher in the Messiah.
 
We have also just started a wonderful initiative called: LOVE LETTERS 2 ISRAEL that has caught on like wildfire and we now have dozens of LETTER WRITERS all over South Africa and Zimbabwe. Sending BEAUTIFUL handwritten letters and cards to our Israeli family at this brutally hard time in their lives. Over 3500 LOVE LETTERS flooded my mail box over the past few months and climbing.
 
Within the card is also an appropriate TANACH scripture to encourage them to trust in their Living God and seek His help. WIZO in Israel is partnering with us by distributing these thousands of LOVE LETTERS, all over the country. Thanks to their incredible network and reach to every corner of Israel’s society – it’s a perfect, Jew-Gentile match.
 

We already have an exciting article in the JERUSALEM POST plus our local Jewish Newspaper here in Cape Town, sharing the wonder of this wave of love to Israel that has been so greatly appreciated by the Jewish community at large, you can just imagine.
