The Choice the Book

I met my husband, James Campbell, through the publishing of my book called “THE CHOICE.” 

In the beginning, little did I know the Divine master plan behind it being written. Shakespeare would have been proud to come up with a plot like this one: a young South African artist goes to work at the International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem where she meets a spirited young Orthodox Jewish man, who has been taught to despise everything the young artist believed in!

This is my account of true love which was put to the ultimate test, despite the extreme adversity of circumstances: religious and cultural differences, political and public persecution, separation and distance – only to be put to the ultimate test.

In a moment of truth, I was forced to make THE CHOICE between the man of my dreams and my Messiah!  Ultimately changing my life forever and challenging my faith with far-reaching consequences. A love story that grew from two young people of different faiths falling in love to God’s ultimate love story between Himself and His blended family.

THE CHOICE is an inspirational journey as colourful as my paintings, which capture the spirit of my fascination and love for the human condition; its strength and frailty in the context of passionate commitment.

The book has enthralled both genders, young and old, Jewish and Christian and we have sold thousands of copies that have gone all over the world. Bringing much-needed understanding bridging the age-old gap between the two faiths and encouraging dialogue. Also saving many a life from utter despair and even suicide. Many have said it’s “A must-read!”

Finally, we have arrived after a 20-year-long journey of having the right teams come together, both here in South Africa and in Israel.  Yes and ready for action, as we all sense it’s the perfect time to bring this true-life love story to the world through a docudrama.  An endeavour I have NEVER envisaged yet for others over the years, constantly spurring us on. 

 Together with our world-class Movie Director from Israel, Doron Eran and both production houses, feel the excitement in our hearts, as we all know projects of this prophetic kind have their appointed time. Suffice it to say, the wait was necessary until NOW, especially after 7 October 2023, as our sad world has never been more ready to receive a love story of this nature – FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!

Pray for me and the teams as we prepare to share THE CHOICE with the world, on this grand scale.  As you can imagine how daunting I feel at times, choosing again to have my life story put out there, on an even larger scale!  But obedience and daring to believe have been my saving graces, with one goal in mind and that is to bring glory to our God and countless more to a place where they too get the opportunity to also make THE CHOICE within their circumstances.
